Parakeet

When I was in third grade, I came to your aid. A sick teacher's dad, made his parakeet so very sad. My teacher asked, would I take the parakeet fast. I needed to ask my mom, sure hope she will not go off like a bomb. My parents may put me in a handcuff, because I could not say yes fast enough.

Note: This really did happen. In third grade, my teacher knew I loved all animals. When her dad had cancer and was dying. His bird "Pretty Boy" had to go. She asked me and I took it. I do not know how long a parakeet should live. It was a number of years old when I got him. About a year later it had a heart attack. That is what the vet said. We were told to put whiskey in warm milk and feed with an eye dropper. We did and he lived 14 years.
