Pale Is the New Plastic Surgery

pale is the new plastic surgery
lou reed is the new velvet from the underground
still coughing up dust balls from my throat as my lingering ages
she is the most beautiful moved on and in love
i am hanging from the green light, and i just can't let go

i guess i just wasn't ready for the stuff i never think of
i guess my imagination took over when i opened the door to your introductory smile
i guess i watched too much sin-o-vision and turned into a grass green shark
i guess you were right to walk the other way and leave me alone

pale is the new plastic surgery
the tips of mountaintops and peaks are the new balanced safety precautions
still free fallin' like a guy i know named tom being petty
i am a good boy with a bent halo holding torn up pages resembling your broken heart
i am hanging from the pedestrians crossing sign driven by deserts of very convincing mirages
