You filled my heart with compassion to rise again and sing,
Through death and loss, my heart cried out, your love empowered me,
I stood for something much deeper than anyone ever knew,
I went back to a place I was scared to face for the love I have in you,
Their tears brought me to my knees, my hands began to shake,
Called to love, to see past my fears, you brought me to this place,
If only for a moment, because moments are all we have here,
If death has taught me anything, it is to cherish our moments held dear,
So personal is this love with pain attached to see,
While this heart is still bleeding giving love sets its free,
With loves strength to see past fear, the darkness cannot prevail,
The chains that bind are redefined, and are now linked to love that's real
