Page To Stage Too Rage 2 Cage

My hand on that page
Ready to channel that rage
But my thoughts are in a cage
And I'm trying to be as righteous as a sage
But these people got me running round and round
Around the mound like a pitcher on surround sound
Between frowns and clowns these people are found
I'm not proud but the noise is loud where fools are crowned
And while some are late to the stage I'm pounding on the gates
Doing everything I can to avoid the fates
But I'm late, I'm late, but I'm not with the hate
I set the plate straight for ice skates on a nice date
But sadly I sent roses to nowhere
No one to care when life isn't fair
But my heart and soul I lay bare
There's a depth to it I swear
I can't articulate the weight as you sit and wait
But everyone is out for a mate
And maybe for most that is great
But not when you're home alone at eight
So now my hand is on the page
But in my heart is sorrow not rage
Because my feelings are locked in a cage
And the curtain falls on the stage
