Overwhelming

I knew him from my past He was kind and beautiful, A silent sigh breathed out From the feelings, so overwhelming Larger than life feelings – melting Away the darkness, sending Light through the heart and soul I knew him like I knew hope With vibrancy that hastened to show Me the wonderful inside his soul, The miracle that would lift my eyes Toward the promise of forever, The delightful in being together – Shining devotion into the promises, The possibilities endless, measured By understanding that hesitated To bring the soul into the brightness A brand new kiss from the sun’s rays, Embracing the joy that comes from Knowing the miracle of love that keeps growing I knew him like I know joy, With a feeling alive, Both lovely and exultant, Piercing the darkness, Fulfilling the spirit with a contentment Arising from the life Who knows what it is to feel The overwhelming love, The way it captures the attention, Survives every affliction, Sets out to cure and heal, blessing Away every doubt, every fear With the music of faith That lasts through the years I knew him from so very long ago. His kiss, his smile, his love Forever blessing me with assurance That we were a part of one another, Two pieces meant for more… Two fragments of forever, always Being wedged together, composing A promise, a song, a prayer… A feeling that is always alive, always aware This overwhelming sense of bliss… It is forever written in the sentences Poetry quieting the clouds, raining Down through the spirit – sensitivity Comfort, blessings so pure and noble They show that forever is more beautiful Than any memory of a past that just didn’t last I knew him from the past, but together Forever became the reason we would stay Enchanted by each moment, each day…. With the overwhelming love that promised To be with us throughout life… Caressing our dreams, releasing our memories To become pieces of the truth that emerged From two hearts, two loves, two souls Writing their moments down in history!
