Love Poem: Over Bacon and Cigarettes

Over Bacon and Cigarettes

crippled
by mornings and sunsets
the daily city rituals
consumed with norms and smiles
I try to find me in it

Muted
by wonderful words spoken
The music commemorates us
Watch for the stop sign
But this life says go

Live
waking up in a sunshine
breathing my air
Where is my star?
What glistens without you
