Love Poem: Our Past

Our Past

Memories of you sit in the back of my mind like a half-blown dandelion
••••••
The nights we’d drive until the land becomes unfamiliar and the world melts into stars around us
The days we’d spend talking about everything and nothing in the back of a Italian restaurant
••••••
You used to push the plates out of the way to reach for my hands while we wait for dinner
You used to kiss my forehead when I cried during stupid movies
You used to sing perfectly off key with me to our favorite songs
••••••
You used to do all of these things
You used to love me
