Our Love Metaphor

Kisses rival symphonies in motion
Swept me up with this potion
That masks as you
And these smiles hang in every aisle
Every corridor in my heart
And I don’t care about the distances
These unspent instances
Cause all I do is dream about talking to her
I close my eyes and I’m walking to her
On everyday is Valentine’s

In every moment you can’t escape my mind
Where these dreams come true with
Every single thought of you
Speckled with heart shaped dots of hue
Not red but baby, blue
Maybe even your favourite shade of green
And in my dreams your kisses are seen
Not felt cause kisses are picture frames
Those we hang in our minds
To house memories of kisses

When kisses are wishes
Your kisses are His
Answer to my prayers
The way her eyes stare
Into me and I can see
Right into your soul
And the hole in me
You’ve filled with your love

There was a leak in my heart
A leak that reeked of lies
Hate and hurt-filled Goodbye’s
Enter Jaimee: no more ache
The end to the heartbreak
No more crying for my soul’s sake
Just on your back angel wings
Your voice the song an angel sings
Our love metaphor these
Kisses and the happiness it brings
