Than whatever might be found in solitude,
Seclusion from the intimacy and affection,
Tenderness that embraces the familiar, the closeness
Two hearts, two souls – joined by one feeling
The friendship, the understanding, that kisses away
Doubt, despair, darkness – erasing every sorrow
With joy that is alive, like the light on the horizon
Reflecting all the wonder, the magic of elation
Shadowed by serenity – encircled by sensitivity
The gentleness of a love far more alive than anyone
Ever thinks to speak of – a love like the air I breathe
Essential to life – vital to faith – required by hope
Indispensable to the one who knows that this is…
Love that comforts, consoles, controls
Even the song that lends grace to my spirit
