Love Poem: Our Last

Our Last

To my startling fall to the cascades of love
I sing to you and perpetually put you above,
My heart rests in the realization of your loss,
Although it is saddened it clings like thick moss.

The rivers bereaved by your short tenure,
The sun darkens as it sees you no longer in its future,
My heart refrains to seek your beauty and kindness anymore,
And my prayers for your safety still leave it so sore.

You were the love of my life as far as I can tell,
Now you're a dreadful apparition that reminds me of hell,
With each passing day, I slowly forget about our demise,
I lost your faith in me because I acted so unwise.
