Love Poem: Our Golden Time of Life

Our Golden Time of Life

My platinum lady
I love your silver hair touch so much
In the twilight of life,
we sunset gaze at each other
with infant coo eyes

Our working plans have now retired,
and blissful leisure awaits
I love your sunrise kisses in the morning,
when fresh dawn petals
opens a new rose-scented day
And the wrinkle dew
of past yesteryear disappointments
have cheerfully melted away

Happiness is our ageless smile bouquet,
more of it is around the bend
We’re teenage senior citizens,
forever young our love will always stay

We take a peaceful afternoon stroll,
tenderly holding hands together
And engage serenely in a tranquil conversation
Reflecting heart-to-heart,
we park bench whisper embrace ...
Wanting to hear each other thoughts,
never wanting to let the words go:

"I do love you"
"And I do love you too"
Said with sweet childish glee,
so innocently ...
Our doveheart chimes forever echo

It’s our golden time of life,
we reached the end of a beautiful rainbow
We’re summer birds in upward flight,
making angel wings in the mountain snow

Now we evening rest ... vow perched together,
facing the golden light of a winter sun
And we look at each other
with baby love springtime eyes —
Knowing that life has only just begun ...

And forever is a journey for the young
