Love Poem: Ooh Lord

Ooh Lord

Lord, today I saw her, like a bride walking down an aisle
Moving in all your glory and glowing all the while
Prettiness with petite cutie and beauty in a pile
I saw a flash of lightning in one enlightening smile
A student in the making, yet a model in her style
Lord, even a rose ain’t that angelic in its entire beauty file

I asked for her name but she just stared down in a frown
I stood my ground and she said June is the noun
With a voice so shy yet a melodious sound
I hope she sees me as no less than a charming prince
Because a princess she is, if she wasn’t that ever since
For just the sight of her can put a man’s man in a wince

She looked so precious, an enchanted heavenly sight
My silly little heart quivered, somersaulted and pounded with delight
My pen bled love as this sight i jotted with the braveness of a knight
Lord, I was gripped by the fright of a night not seeming so right
For a dream not so dry she provokes when you kill the light

I saw the calmness of the ocean reflected in a brown pair of eyes
I saw the radiance of a twilight captured in such a skin, I no tell lies
And the smile of a crescent moon that makes the sun not rise
If she is in your image lord, then you really must look nice
For such is the reason I always wished Christmas came twice!
