One Life
The heart wants what it wants and gets
What it desires to own
Though in the mind, full of regrets
You might remain alone
Bamboozled by the foolish dream
You’ve lived in for awhile
The only way back then it seemed
Your questions were replied
In words you did expect to hear
In vibes you shared and signs
Of the delightful atmosphere
That two hearts can design
But then, as always, should I say
Comes in the most unwilling guest
The time of change, that takes away
One life, and all the rest.
