Love Poem: Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time

I compare you my love to the dawn's early sky, a bold, bright display that starts out quite shy. At first glance, one may miss your undeniable spark. But my soul was ignited when you stepped from the dark. Warm is your heart, brilliant your mind, with a passion for life so rare to find. If life is about seizing a moment in time, I'll capture each for "auld lang syne". A kiss or a touch, our sweet words expressed, all snapshots of love, we'll one day cherish. When we're old and gray, no more in our prime, these days will be our "once upon a time". I compare you my love to the dawn's early sky, my new day forever, our love ne'er to die.
