Once Loved
We were young, so innocent and much in love.
A bright future and the world was ours to own.
Our plans were abruptly changed by Him above.
Sorrowed and bereft, I faced my life alone.
It has been many years since we were parted.
My loved one died and left me broken hearted.
Our true love paid the price for all the sorrow,
And warms me still and helps me through tomorrow.
