Love Poem: On Nearly 9/9/9

On Nearly 9/9/9

I take everything back
Except the churches in my mind,
They stay.

And the laws for loving,
Throw those out.
I'll just keep that first light,
The one I use when walking in the dark.

For I cannot make haste for joy
Without letting it all go.

      Even the old emotional statues,
      Give them pass, though they
      Stand at attention around me.

Knock them down with lustful tears?

Own none of them?
Or nine of them?

My voice at rest, says:
Breathe the mystery.
Blissful mystery.
