On Loves Fair Shore

On bent knee we did first agree
To pursue loves true course
From my trembling lips the question asked
My eager ears for your words to leave
From precious vessel and heart receive
To begin lives journey with friend in hand
And to ask Gods’ blessings on our plans
For over treacherous or calm blue seas
Our two hearts agree to sail with thee
As our vows tie us two in masters sailors knot
Tied by you
We cast off with love full force on our sails
Sweet serenity upon our face
Until at last gale force winds appear
The vessel runs off course
And two hearts struggle with the winds full force
Until at last through gale force winds are heard
The captains shouts as whispers on the wind
Is your faith shaken by the raging storm
But I have heard your pleas many times before
A sailor's true test is in the storm
Where sailors are made and captains are born
I have sailed this course many times before
And you will land once again
On loves fair shores
