On a Passing Cloud There Floats a Dream

ON A PASSING CLOUD THERE FLOATS A DREAM

When on a passing cloud there floats a dream
I wished to fly my kite to hover high,
haunted by a long -lost love, soul to scream.
With me the gilded leaves of Autumn sigh.

Tied the kite right, pulling the thread proper,
when on a passing cloud there floats a dream.
Yet the kite strolled on ground like grass hopper.
Cerulean sky smiled on cosmic gleam.

Drifting cotton cloud painted by sunbeam.
Speed of wind again helped to fly my kite,
when on a passing cloud there floats a dream.
The thread detached, kite flew out of sight.

Got shattered when our bond you were to untie.
My blooming desires vaporized in steam.
Like kite you left and chose own sky to fly,
when on a passing cloud there floats a dream.
