Love Poem: Oh, My Valentine

Oh, My Valentine

Hey, smiling beauty
My ravishing companion
Arriving in spring to give my life a lift
I shall sing for you, our love’s tuneful lore

Cynosure of beauty, you are
The darling of everyone’s eye
I wonder how I could get through
Without you by my side

You are there to remind me
How beautiful this life is!
Indoor or outdoor,
I look for your company

In my solitary room, you sit and smile.
As I go for a walk, you are around me.
You dress in pink, red, mauve or pastel shades
The sweet scent you carry takes my breath away.

Your pervading aroma
Stirs and thrills my nerves
You hold so much poetry n’ romance,
On your soft crimson cheeks

I see magic hiding in your eyes
In your sweet company, my aches I forget
You restore into me
Life’s tuneful harmony

Will you stay with me
As an abiding companion
But sadly I recognize,
You are a fair weather friend!

My Valentine, let me kiss you in public
Steal the honey out of you
Nobody would object my act
Except perhaps a BUTTERFLY!
