Of She I Speak

If a story feeds your mind, then a poem is food for the soul. One poem can tell someone you
love your feelings in just a few simple lines. It allows your heart to express itself in a way
nothing else can. I have one here with more to come. The true inspiration for this poem is
someone who is the most wonderful woman ever.

OF SHE I SPEAK
Of she I speak
Oh, her so fair,
She of golden silken hair
Of eyes of blue
So clear and bright
Heart of only purest light
Skin of ivory
Teeth of pearl
One very special lovely girl.

It happened on one special night,
Into my life she brought the light.
With every word she uttered sweet
Every sound did Heaven meet,
A wondrous tone I hadn’t known.
A smile that did love abound,
She caused my heart at once to furl;
This very special lovely girl.

With each passing moonlit night
She came to me on message site.
For she you see was far away
It mattered not my heart did stray
Forbidden love alas I knew
Caution to the wind I threw.
My heart it had begun to birle;
She was a very special girl.

Together we in forbidden time,
A growing secret love sublime.
With each stolen second we,
Allowed our tortured hearts to plea,
To verbally entwine once more
Allow our hurting souls to soar,
But as we sank into love’s abyss;
Without so much as just one kiss.
We knew our love must end with this
And end this tragic lovers tryst.

With tearful goodbye upon my lips
Into that night away she slipped.
From my eyes the tears do fall.
My heart still awaits her call
Knowing that it will not ring
Causes yet just one more sting,
It is a very lonely world.
I’ll always love my special girl.
