Of Red and of Blue
I'll write of the colours of red and of blue,
I'll write of the times of the past that I knew,
I'll write of the future and things I pursue,
I'll write of the colours of red and of blue.
The colours of red are the things that I dread,
Of visions and nightmares I dream while in bed,
Of things that I've seen and the things that I've read,
I'll dream of the colours of blue and of red.
The colours of blue are the things that are true,
The sky in the summer, the hue of the dew,
The Blue Jay and berries, the ocean and lake,
The things that I see when I'm up and awake.
The colours of red and the colours of blue,
The things that are false and the things that are true,
The things in my past that I love and I hate,
The things in my future I seek and create.
I'll write of the colours of red and of blue,
