Of Cable Cars and Gardenias

Of Cable Cars and Gardenias

A magician, I seek and will highly pay!
      Who can rewrite history,and bring
this poetess back to her love!
She recalls with joy and tears,
Her bewitching lover's eyes as they rode
      In a majestic Cable Car.

With that delicious fog that brought God's
      blessing on innocent lips.
Moonlit kisses softly on a starlit hill.
No kiss ever matched such power and
      overcoming gentleness!

      Her long, gleaming dark,Cleopatra tresses.
His gift of a dewed gardenia~ in her fog blessed
      hair.
Which scented her to him forever for future days.
That now is a passion sonata of him and bygone days.

Vague traces of her love for him are constantly
      Running through her body daily.
Those gusty gardenia winds of youth and life's
      tenderness.
She recalls with royal, on-going reverence!

His name, unspoken, silent as the furthest star.
She has his heart's love token!
With great spirit and gusto, they danced, laughed
       and loved.
And will one day ride a golden cable car with multi
colored ribbons, to the heavens above!
