Ode To Marriage - Contest Version

I am happy for once in a long time.
Finally, happiness is mine to keep.
The trees rustle, through them we fly,
euphoric melodies through trees it sweeps.
I promise I'm ready this time to try.
The worst lie I've told myself is this,
is that I'd never be happy again.
You light up my world more than blue skies,
you are my remedy and soul kiss,
it's true I will never say never again.

I am happy to be ordinary,
I cherish the life I have with you today,
I'm happy to have a slice of normalcy.
There is nothing that can stop her, I'm her,
ready to take the leap, no more secrets.
I love the love you give, it gives me life,
your forgiveness pushes me to forgive,
no more being stuck in lies and deep ruts.
I am so blessed to call myself your wife.
You have so much love to give, I love you.

I truly hope this love will be my last,
you truly give me the will to live, baby.
You push me to always forgive myself,
With you I always know it's never maybe.
My family is my worth forever.
You always do your best to lift me up,
you have helped me learn so much.
Surely saving me was an endeavor,
you helped me rise above the pain and hurt,
always honoring the vow of our rings.
