O' Agape Fatherly God's Love
Have you ever loved someone?
Beyond their soul;
Have you ever tried to love like God?
Oh’ Agape Hallelujah
As well as the human reciprocal love for God.
In Scripture, the transcendent agape love is the highest form of love and is contrasted
Agape, agape, the fatherly love of God for humans,
It does not dishonor others,
It is not self-seeking, others
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record, records of wrong
Agape goes out of one's way to help one's neighbors
And others and create a caring community for sisters and brothers
Focusing on the similarities between people
Rather than their differences
In love to find common ground.
Treating others with kindness,
Even when they are strangers.
Loving God selflessly. Hallelujah
