Love Poem: Now and Then

Now and Then

He’s been on my list

For a next lifetime kiss

My “before I met my man” wish

If I could relay this message

It would play like this:

sitting on a curb of heaven outside of Eden

we catch each others eye and our hearts asks each other “where have you
been?”

we’d run up to the King of Kings and ask him for his blessing

seems like since I met this man endless we are destine

and he turns to me and says “LBZ I would only love you more if you would marry
me

if you can wake me up with just a snippet of ya poetry

then I could put you to bed and forever it’s just you and me”

I said ”just kiss me now I can’t wait till consummation

Cause since the third time we met for this moment I been waiting

And though it seems like eternity

My secret to you is that you will be my hearts back beat eternally.”

Then we could reminisce about our past lack of reminiscence

Chillin’ in the garden of Eden amongst the cherubim

Last supper is no wonder since he feeds my soul food

One day if it is written maybe us will be me and you
