Love Poem: Now, With You

Now, With You

Where can I go to escape your face when I’m in search of it?
Traveling from reaches further than my world could ever
describe or feel, and present me with a presence which induces feelings I placed away for another time…
My frailty is evident, never feeling quite up to the task of living love within a world which doesn’t include you….
This life nearly succumb….stumbled, staggered, and briefly reeled in all its years, absent from your arms…..and never does my life carry with it evidence it doesn’t exist for you.
I find you completely ordinary and therefore gifted, none can perceive you how I do, no comprehension of you in this view -my eyes….
How can this old world muster anything of substantial substance
to contend with the beauty and amazement I receive whenever I reward my eyes with a look into yours?
I remain saturated with love thoughts of you and those eyes, your lips,
that face….
Once aloft, while never having left the ground, pseudo notions lent songs with words lacking context.
Though now my Heart in yours has a world all of its own, and never will it be the same again after its time spent with yours.
And never again will my mind find even an echo of a notion,
or the faintest breeze of a passing reflection,
without the etching of your lovely
and lasting image……
