Notions

"Sometimes drowning feels good" she says to me.

I left her there alone, alone with her thoughts. It consumed her entirely.

I watched her hearts untimely death.

She stands there and I now see just her silhouette.

The darkness filling in all the spots the light used to be.

Does she know I'm looking at her?

I want to touch her, taste her, feel her down to her bones, I want to chase her demons away again but I can't.

I stay away, I keep my distance and just watch her.

She can't be touched, she can't be reached.

She is damaged, untouchable, unlovable.

She has an ocean of holes that can't be fixed.

I watch from the shadows and see the darkness take over her.

It's so sad to see what she's become.
I ask myself is this my fault?

She's unable to feel, unable to care or love anything at all.

She is scared to let you or anyone else in.

So because of this I'll just stand here and watch her from a distance, love her from a distance.
