Not Till the Heavy Woman Sings

NOT TILL THE HEAVY WOMAN SINGS
Someone told me recently that you had nothing left;
Socially you were just old and hand no joke.
Even though it’s been considerable years since;
I looked into your eyes.
I know that’s not true

I believe your spirit holds me;
Day in and day out
I find myself in your spirit world.
This is not a fantasy of my mind;
It’s the power of your worth.

That’s the thing though here and now;
The things life takes away;
Things you never think of;
That would have made a difference.
If I only knew I wasn’t going to look into those eyes.

When the Guardians of the light;
Bring to you that which you need;
If you carelessly discard a gift such as that;
The hand of fate delivers its retributions;
And only that which you offended can vie for your forgiveness

I have little value in this world but I am me;
And that you do have.
It is apparent that you have so much more;
And I; compared to all else am insignificant;
But you’ve had me through all these years.

I know the fire of your creation still burns;
And it shows in your spirit.
It reflects in your soul;
And can be seen and noticed;
In those eyes that elevates my heartbeat.

I laugh insanely at such comments;
Suggesting that you have nothing left;
I can only guess but with common deduction;
That these are words of the jealous or misinformed;
And they only wish they could acquire and keep as you have
