Not Guilt

10/19/12

Furrowed guilt—mixed scorn
If I trouble you, just say
Blank stare—tattered, torn
If it helps, I’ll go away
Leave. Me. Alone. NOW
Are the words you long to belt
Darkness in your brow
Bleeding love you never felt
Say your goodbyes
As the suns you love depart
Let me see your eyes
Before demons crush your heart
What I find under those eyelids is not guilt—but glee
