Not Free of You Yet

In shadowed eve I see you there.
Your hands twisted behind your back.
I feel the iron of your stare.
My calm facade begins to crack.

That face I'm struggling not to see
Was once a blessing to behold.
Now all I want is to feel free.
To look upon you leaves me cold.

My soul's been clamped into a vice.
So full of pain that won't let go.
There's nothing left to sacrifice.
Why you torment me,I don't know.

Now I will stumble my way clear.
Ungrip the hold you've had on me.
I'll tell you I've shed my last tear.
Just walk away and let it be.
