Love Poem: No Solace

No Solace

Begin the tears, halt the years
Stifle fears, sharpen psychic spears
Laissez-faire for my lady fair

Go to your nightmares, to your dreams
Immortal scare, scorching screams
You were my all; I let you fall
And now the price lays on my head
The only solace to abide in your bed

Miraculous fury running wild
Corpses to bury obstreporous child
Leave it to me, dear
Cleave unto me: don't fear

You are gilded effrontery
I can only be simply me
And now...worlds apart I plea
Will you not defer to me?

I am unsettled in my mind
We reached the apex, things unwind
Hassle me--you are unkind
But in your heart treasures are mined
So unfair this afterglow
Do you care; will I ever know?
Or is our wellspring doomed to flow
Line up heartbreak after ruin in a row

A pleasure palace to behold
A maid enshrouded in green and gold
Would make a tale best not be told
You will always be with me
And our spirits travel free
Beneath the martyr's reckoning tree
I must defer to His Majesty

Leave me be for I am done
I cannot see nor my heart be won
I am scorched by a pitiless sun
I betray my wrath to everyone
