No One

No One...

Can really bring another love, they’re missing in their heart,
But not because we lack the knowledge of their deepest need,
No act of love can really have a chance to pass love’s tests
When our response to lover’s prayer lacks courage at the start,
Extinguishing the fire that longs to forge life in Love’s seed.

The planting of a soul can bring new depth to human soil,
It’s one more way God’s found to share creation’s spark with man,
A kind of immortality and dream of something new,
As couples share creation’s power, human dreams uncoil,
More than a hint that all are part of God’s own masterplan.

The brevity of life is such that no one’s here quite long,
And “beauty is as beauty does” means all have chance to shine,
Each night we sleep and morn we wake, suggests death has no hold,
And innocence like ignorance means no one’s always wrong,
God’s gift of grace, a parent’s love, ensures we’re all divine.
