Love Poem: No Matter What

No Matter What

I asked God,
When I was young,
For a daughter,
Or a son.
No matter the color of hair,
Or body type,
Such a little miracle,
Is always right.
No Matter number of fingers,
Or number of toes,
With a healthy heart,
In our home it will grow.
No matter sound of voice,
Or brightness of eyes,
Every baby is beautiful,
And brings such pride.
No matter grades in school,
Or scholarships won,
My smart little baby,
Will live for fun.
With a nose like mommy,
and a smile like daddy,
Combined together,
Living on forever.
