Love Poem: No, Nobody Forgives Twice

No, Nobody Forgives Twice

Everybody disregards
human compassion,
there's no room for kindness,
they stare and move on;
no, nobody forgives twice:
their feelings aren't rivers
flowing freely, they are ice!

No, nobody forgives twice
and admit that's only pride;
is once enough to make amends
and still, think we can be friends?

I had hoped to get forgiveness
from you and be better than I was;
no pity shows in those eyes
too angry shunning smiles!
You have built a wall I can't climb that easily;
I can't find words that rhyme perfectly
and write you the song of redemption...
what's the use of begging and not be forgiven?
I keep on climbing until I fall down,
until you realize I don't fit that laughing clown!

No, nobody forgives twice
and admit that's only pride;
is once enough to make amends,
and still, think we can be friends?

If I am not able to undo what's done,
just forgive this hurtful man and be gone;
I don't wish you unhappiness, only love...
turn this around and make me come alive!
