Love Poem: Nightmares of You

Nightmares of You

My nightmares are of you.
You and all of your things
The things you take from me.
Oh, so many things
How I wish I could
Just follow you back home
You say home is where the heart is
Well then I'm better off alone
I can't forget the things you say
They mean the world to me
And one night as you lie in bed
Someone will make you see.
You'll see how much it hurts inside
And see how bad is pain,
But you won't remember me
I wish I'd do the same.
All along I knew you well
It was over from the start.
Now I lay in tears again
From a broken heart
I recall the words I love you
I can't remember all the rest
But for a nightmare,
You are the very best.
