Night Time Awakens Mourn

Night time awakes, sunset’s rays enfold,
heavy breathing naught amiss,
oasis flooded, idleness abounds.
Melancholy waltz, sweet accords naught,
sea of amber filled with anxiety.
Love sweet love, tender heart broken,
melted with remorse,
insensible one that I am,
vermin gnaw at my enthralled soul.
Breeze sweeps across thy lofty room,
forest scents naught,
perfume drifts, tantalizing, potent incense,
are you here dangerous woman.
Scents overwhelming, cruel that they are,
 tear at my aching head,
corrupt with memories meant for eternity.
Horrid decayed love, consequence mastered,
homage I pay to thee,
raucous impudence wrought in pall of calm,
vermin still surround my soul.
Lying now, cavorts in pallid light console in tears,
 potent idleness,
grandeur dwells of ephemeral pleasures past,
clamorous head turns,
 life sleeps.
