Next Lifetime
I can only admire
you from afar
Imagine what it must
taste like to feast
on your food for thought
Daydreams of us
walking into a poem
perpetually reruns on the
big screen of my mind
Oh how it must feel to
wake up next to a hero
smile in your presence
and see my reflection
from the mirror
of your armor
Each day after awakening
and before we slumber
I'd allow the soothing
words of appreciation
gently drip from my lips
so yours could savor how
much I love you
I realize too much space
between us and
off kilter timing
makes it impossible
to create soul ties
but not impossible to
do so in my mind
We shall love honestly
and live happily
ever after betwixt the
walls of my imagination
anticipating our opportunity
to officially create
a love affair inside
a next lifetime
