Love Poem: Never Enough

Never Enough

If I wear my heart on my sleeve
You unravel the thread
No need to grieve
For I am already dead
You should have listened
To the words that I said
Instead you were trapped
By the thoughts in your head

If I pull the knife out of my back
You sharpen the blade
If trump is hearts
I have a handful of spades
If I light a match
You pour gas on the flame
If I served you a meal on a silver plate
Youd ask why it's not gold
And told me dinner was late

If I told you to leave
Youd glue yourself to the floor
If I gave you everything
You'd always want more.
