NATURE’S GIRL
Higher and higher you take me on crimson gossamer butterfly wings,
up into the heavens, through the clouds and a wing over the sun.
Your heart beats as fast as a hummingbird’s wing with the heady rush
of love, in time to the breath of the wind and the crash of the sea.
You are my ocean girl, so full of moods and colours, as tranquil
as the open sea in nature’s world. I was lost and found
when your beacon shone forth, guiding me to your tender arms
thus ending my loneliness.
You are a world that gives me life as the air we breathe,
a precious piece of stardust in my universe of light.
