Love Poem: Mystical Love

Mystical Love

Love kept its steady promise
Its word was again spoken to me
Reminding me, once more,
That my stay in Earth’s hostile garden
Shall come to an end someday
And reality shall continue for me,
In a world fairer,
Ruled by the one for whom my heart beats!

Love kept its steady promise
As the word had me smiling
Relieved, aware that I shall
Vanquish those who dare hurl at me,
Arrows laden with venom!

And in this mystical love
Do I bask in
As freely as would unicorns in their own magic
Or as sincerely
As do saints in their faith
Or as gracefully
As do butterflies dance in rose gardens!

Of love’s steady promise do I
Return, as diligently as a
Submissive wife, for without its breath upon me
I become as useless as dust
Meant to be cleaned
And forgotten as new dawns would
Settle in bright new days
And as new moons do shine in
On crystal clear nights!

Of this love I do make my rope
Clinging on to it
Tightly and desperately even
For there be no cause left for me
Other than it!
