My Winter Wedding Dream

He looks at me
in his suit of white
with that calm smile upon his face
he is a marvelous sight

people all around me look
but their faces I can't see
in this winter wonderland
he's the only one for me

I almost run toward him
with excitment my cheeks warm
except my father's right beside me
holding tightly on my arm

upon arriving at the alter
I pull a white rose from my bouqet
then I lean toward my father
and as I place the rose I say

"Daddy it's okay now
you can let go of my arm
with this man here beside me
I will not come to any harm"

a smile spreads across his face
but there's tears within his eyes
as he gives me to the man I love
afterward he replies

"I know you'll be okay
but I'll be here anyway
if you ever need any help
just call me night or day"

with that he turns away
and takes a seat below
then I turn to the man
who's face is all aglow

looking at this man's face
I feel as if in a dream
with all these emotions in my head
I don't know whether to laugh or scream

with a laugh I say I do
somthing in his eyes glow
then after a kiss that ends to soon
my HUSBAND and I turn to go

outside the church the sun shines bright
such a glorious sight to see
but in this winter wonderland
he's the only one for me
