My Weekend
My weekend is special to me.
One I look forward to all along.
I work overtime for the extra money
I live tired all the time.
Barely able to keep my eyes open,
afraid I'll fall asleep
traveling to and fro.
I rack my brain looking for ideas.
Things to do to make it memorable.
A fun activity or a favorite meal.
To see the light in their eyes
is what it's for.
I do everything I can
to make amends,
for all the wrongs.
I just want you to know
everything I do is because
I love you all.
