My Psalm

MY PSALM

I see You in the face of a child
A face radiant in Your Splendor
I praise you for this small image of You
You are the Creator Who fashioned this icon

I praise You in the morning when I rise
O praise You, for You are worthy
You are my Rock, my solid foundation
I will offer praise to You all the day long

I will magnify the Lord! Thus, I shall be saved
I sing praises unto You
Praises of long ago as sung by weary travelers
As they trudged on to their destination

I will cast all my cares upon You
For I know You can handle them
You are the epitome of a love so strong
So strong, it defies definition

Yet, it is a gentle love that calms fear
A love that creates trust, seals bonds
A love that brings contentment out of chaos
I will call upon You, Lord, and You will hear me

I praise You for Your small, still, voice
It is a voice that soothes, and brings relief
There is none to whom You can be compared
You are the One and Only True God

Therefore, I offer up my praise to you
You are my shield, and with You,
Satan has no power, no control
Thus, I am under Your guardianship

My soul doth pant after You
You will come to my rescue
Under the shadow of Your wings, I will be safe!
Praise the Lord, all ye nations! Praise Him, all ye land!
