My Lullaby

Lay me down and dry my eyes,
Say my prayers on the darkest nights
Hold me close if I drift too far away
Carry me home if that’s the only way
I may not be the girl in your dream
But I hold the secrets that you’ve buried deep
I whisper my sweetness on the little flowers
You think I’m scared, but I’m not one that cowers
You twist and turn your fingers, as the water blood pours down my cheeks
But you’ll see I get my strength from what makes you weak
You promise me diamonds in the sky
Your love was my drug and I was constantly high
My charisma floats as perfume in the air
Promise me the world to show that you care
I promise you ill sing my sweet lullaby
I promise you this wont be the last time.
