Love Poem: My Love Is True

My Love Is True

With my true love I am smitten, in his dark brown eyes I am lost; and into a wild journey tossed. Oh, love I am truly bitten, I become wrapped in his soul- strength; for him I will go any length. His words make me purr a kitten a single touch makes my heart ache; if a dream- oh please do not wake. Yes, yes with love I am stricken, he says I am lovely and sweet; he is my safe harbor- retreat. Love . . . is why poems are written. and my true, true love inspires me; he listens while I set words free. With my true love I am smitten, oh, love I am truly bitten; his words make me purr a kitten, yes, yes with love I am stricken; love . . . is why poems are written. ____________________________ January 24, 2020 Poetry/Constanza/Rhyme/My Love is True Copyright Protected, ID 20-1219-245-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written in the form Constanza, created by Connie Marcum Wong Written for the contest, True Love sponsor, Chantelle Anne Cooke First Place
