Love Poem: My Lonely Night

My Lonely Night

Same as before, just like every night,
No one is here, to hold onto tight.
She’s gone again, in his arms I’m sure,
How did this happen, what is the cure.
It seemed like yesterday, we were here,
Today has come, now you disappear.
You walked right out, without a word,
No call, no note. This is absurd.
We had it all, with no interruptions,
Then he came with all his destruction.
With money in his wallet, a tattoo on his back,
A knife in mine, you never looked back.
Another moon passes, as I lay alone,
Clutching my pillow while staring at the phone.
Waiting for a call, that never will take place,
Looking at your picture with sadness on my face.
A hole in my heart, tears in my eyes,
With my last breath, my final goodbyes.
