My Life's Continued Journey

It was 4:00 AM this morning
When these words came to my head
I could not lay there any longer
So I got up out of bed
Prayed to god to help me
Then I got up off my knees
Went to my computer
Started tapping on the keys
God in all his love and wisdom
Took my love in life from me
Took away her suffering
Her place in Heaven now to be
Jesus Christ, Gods only son
Died on the cross, showed us the way
She believed He died for her
That's why she's with Him there today
They are both within my soul,
Jesus Christ and Barb, my wife
They guide me as I move along
As I continue with my life
Friends and family there for me
They're all one and the same
The vows I said in sixty-nine
Are still are large part of the game
God has further plans for me
As he did back on that day
He gave us more than fifty years
She's still in my heart to stay
Makes my love for others stronger
Helps me do good when I'm told
By my savior who is guiding me
I'm not alone, as I grow old
Miracles on earth still happen
I know, I see them every day
When Christ asks me to help him
I do... There is no other way.
I try to share in my good fortune
That I have this life to live
I participate in miracles
Try to give what I may give
Let others know I love them
By example, let it show
For love in life is everything
I just wanted you to know
