Love Poem: My Joy

My Joy

My Joy
Is in her smile.
Is in her face
My only want
is through her fingers mine lace.
Although it's hopeless,
Although she'll never care,
Should she ever need me,
I'll always be there.
I dream of her touch.
I think of her smile.
Though my nightmare,
It stays all the while.
Because deep down I realize,
That this love is one sided.
And this is how it'll stay.
These no need to fight it.
But it's too late.
Because my heart has been taken,
by an unknowing thief,
She broke in and stole it.
In that one time so brief.
All it took was a smile,
a laugh,
and a touch.
and my emotions, although small,
became all too much.
And now when I see her,
I light up inside,
But it goes dark when I realize,
that true love is a lie
