Love Poem: My Hunger

My Hunger

It yearns to be filled
It yearns to be satiated
It yearns,
To stop growling,
To stop aching,
Pulsating!

It yearns,
To stand tall and proud
As if,
It were the inner energy of the cosmos
Much needed to allow this mysterious sphere
To keep on being!

Why, hunger sustains itself only by being fed
If not,
Hunger leads to death
And it,
In the secret diary of my soul
Writes of itself,
Of its most intimate blushes,
Of its dirty desires
Of its mystical essence
Of its hidden pores,
Of it real nature,
Known as Love,
Love, as has been willed by the skies!

I have been hungering for it
Even before I took birth on an Earth
Which belongs not to me
I have been hungering for it
As madly as addicts do for their euphoria!

I have been hungering ever since
The skies whispered to me the word of it
I have been hungering
And shall keep doing so
As long as I shall have enough strength to carry me!

Should it happen that my hunger is fed not
My death carriage would be waiting for me
Ready to take me to there
Where matter exists not
Where only darkness thrives
In a most peaceful silence!

Why, it has become the cause of my life
It has become my meaning
My purpose, my reason to exist
May it open up to me,
The canal leading to the source of its flow
May it bloom as if it were a much loved flower
May it cease to hurt
Drowned in seas of warmth!

Pray, may it be satiated,
This God given hunger of mine!
