i'm just a weeping willow
on a bed lying here
with you still in my mind
shedding the same old tears
i'm sailing on a wild ocean
just wanting to be free
too long i have felt like this
with my mind punishing me
do you remember our faint happiness?
i know it wasn't long
sometimes i'd often talk to you
or maybe sing a song
if i could be granted a wish
if i could trade anything
so you could of had much more
i would give you everything
if i could take this weight from my shoulders
i will empty out my heart
give you all the love you need
and we would never be apart
i know you are calling me
but the clouds muffle your cries
life can be so cruel my dear
and how quickly it passes by
i often drift away
into the place i wish we could be
but things are never that simple
a fading memory
you are every bird that soars
you are a gentle ocean wave
we could of been together
if things had gone my way
follow me on a journey
please don't be afraid
i've painted a beautiful rainbow
a trail of soft sand is laid
i look up to the heavens
i see your face of porcelain
are you a daydreamer like me
